🚌

Chicken bus

The cheapest option, but the slowest — you'll change buses in Escuintla and then take a tuk-tuk from Sipacate. It can take twice as long as a direct shuttle, so travel light.

🚗

Driving / rental car

The road is paved for almost the entire route. A good option if you're comfortable driving in Guatemala and want to go at your own pace.

🛺

Once you're in El Paredón

The village is small enough to walk, but local tuk-tuks are handy for getting between your hotel, the beach, and the mangroves without walking in the heat.
